President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday afternoon, received briefing from the Central Bank governor, Godwin Emefiele, Ministers of Finance, Budget and National Planning at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The Ministers and the CBN governor updated President Buhari on the improving state of the economy, 2017 budget implementation, budget preparation.
The President was also briefed on the revenue strategies, combined cost reduction and debt management.
Also discussed during the briefing monetary policy strategies and their economic impact.
The Presidency confirmed the development via its official Twitter handle @NGRPresident on Monday.

Present at the meeting were Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele and the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Abba Kyari.
Olajide TV recalls that President Buhari’s meeting with the CBN Governor and the two Ministers is coming three (3) days after he met thirty five (35) States governors of the federation, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
