NIGERIA 2015: Jonathan warns office seekers against do-or-die politics

by

As the 2015 general elections approaches,
President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday
warned political office seekers in the election
against do-or-die politics, saying the interest of
the nation should come first over their
ambitions.
Jonathan made the appeal while monitoring the
conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
congress at Otuabula 2, the headquarters of
Ward 13 in Ogbia Local Government Area of
Bayelsa State.

He also warned the leadership of the party at all
levels against the imposition of candidates,
adding that such acts would negatively affect
the fortunes of the party in the forthcoming
general elections in the country.
Commending the peaceful conduct of the Ward
Congress of the PDP in the state, Jonathan
urged all the candidates to be loyal to the
leadership of the party.
The Chairman of the ward, Mr. Blessing Odeh,
later presented Jonathan with a new PDP
membership card with number 2851001, while
his wife, Patience, was also presented with a
new membership card with number 2851002.
