Obasanjo asks Nigerians to behave during elections



Lagos – Former President Olusegun Obasanju has called out Nigerian to not disappoint at the general election, as the international community is watching, reports Naij

The former head of state made it clear that with the activities going on in the country at the moment, the whole world is watching. He asked citizens to make sure the elections are free of violence and fair to all Nigerians.

He went on to say that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should make sure that everything runs smoothly and not allow the international community to make the country look like a joke by giving them reasons to critisize.

He added that everyone should be prepared without exception, that all the equipment must arrive on time. The former president, who declared his support for All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Buhari, has stated that unnecessary delay should be avoided.

Obasanjo, who was a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) member, concluded by saying that the citizens should protect their integrity by voting in the elections.
