The newly released Chibok Girls boarding a plane to Abuja
The photos of the 82 Chibok schoolgirls who were released by Boko Haram Terrorists have been released. The photos were released by the International Committee of the Red Cross who revealed that it acted as a neutral intermediary and transported the girls to the government.
“Acting as a neutral intermediary, we @ICRC transported 82 #ChibokGirls to the government of #Nigeria.” ICRC wrote on Twitter.
In one of the pictures, some of the Chibok girls were seen boarding an aircraft that landed in Abuja.
As at the time of filing this report, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had confirmed that the girls have arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and were received by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari on behald of President Muhammadu Buhari.
ICRC acted as intermediary and transported the girls to the Nigerian government
About 82 of the Chibok girls were released on Saturday after the government released some captured Boko Haram members in exchange for the girls.
